A special thanks to the nurses that work so hard for our residents.

May 8, 2014 By assisted living st george

This is a special tribute to all nurses.  We want to let you know how special you are to us this week and all year long.  Our in house nurse Bonnie works very hard to supervise, diagnose and make sure our residents get what they need.  There are a number of Home Health and Hospice nurses that come to our retirement homes and give our residents the special attention that they need.  Thank you so much for your time and understanding with our special residents.

What are Diabetic Shoes?

May 5, 2014 By assisted living st george

Is it important to have diabetic shoes?  This video explains why diabetic shoes are very different from regular shoes.  It is important to have the right shoes when you are diabetic.  At BeeHive Homes of Washington Co. we have the podiatrist come in on a regular basis and they make sure our diabetic residents have a new pair of diabetic shoes each year.  If you have family members in assisted living centers, make sure they are getting seen by the podiatrist in the facility or take them to an outside source.

Is it time to find a residential living center for your family member?

May 5, 2014 By assisted living st george

If your family member is starting to need a little extra attention, help with meals, or in need of a senior care company, this video will give you some good things to look for. Sometimes it can be an extremely daunting process for you and your family member to think about needing help and also the possibility of having to move out of the comfort of their own home. This is why we try to make this experience as relaxing and easy as it can be so that the transition across to senior care is as comfortable as possible for the resident and for you. We can give you a tour of some of your local assisted living centers, retirement homes, or senior care facilities. There is a wide choice of places for your elderly relative to receive care from senior care providers, whether that be in a care home or via assisted living. At BeeHive Homes, we encourage anyone who is interested in extra care for their family or friends to stop by any of our facilities in St. George or Hurricane and we will be happy to give you a tour and answer any questions you may have.

If you are apprehensive about sending your loved one to a care home at the moment, you may want to look into at-home care and get the necessary help from a Senior Care Baton Rouge service, or one which is in their location, so they can stay within their own home for the time being and see how they get on with that type of assistance. It is not easy for families to go through something like this but with the right help and care, they can ensure that their family member is safe and well looked after.
